BEHIND THE LENS - Levitation Photo Shoot
Levitating objects in photography can be done one of two ways, with some objects you can throw them up into the air, others it's best to use fishing wire, it's strong and thin so it's easily photoshopped out using the healing brush and can create some fantastic illusions. For this falling wine glass shoot, it was the most challenging yet, due to having to find the precise point of balance for the glass to keep the wine in the glass. With previous objects like a mug of tea and a pinecone, one string was sufficient but with the wine glass I decided to use an extra string tethered to the ground. Shooting during the beginning of the covid pandemic, meant no studio access so this was a fun impromptu shoot at home to keep my skills sharp. Blog post in progress: will update with video on post production process.
